An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is a formal inspection of your property’s fixed electrical system. It checks the condition of wiring, consumer units, sockets, and light fittings to ensure they are safe and compliant with UK regulations.
Yes. Since 1 July 2020, landlords in England are legally required to have a valid EICR every 5 years, or at the start of a new tenancy. This applies to all rental properties, including HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation).

It depends on the property size. A typical 1-2 bedroom flat takes 1.5 to 2 hours, while a larger house may take 3–4 hours. We aim to deliver the report within 24–48 hours after the inspection.
If your EICR report shows C1 or C2 issues, these must be rectified within 28 days (or sooner if specified). Nova Electrical can provide a free quote and carry out any remedial work required to bring your property up to standard.
